Rainfall still soaking flood-hit Salalah

MUSCAT: Some of the governorates of the Sultanate reported heavy rainfall due to the presence of local clouds that followed the tropical situation on Sunday. In Dhofar, rainfall measurement stations of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources recorded the highest rainfall in Salalah (44 mm), Taqah (29 mm) and in Thamrait (5 mm). Rain also fell in Al Hajar Mountains and the neighbouring wilayats. In the Governorate of Al Dhahirah, rainfall was reported in the wilayats of Yanqul (26 mm) and Ibri (13 mm).


Rain was also reported in the Governorate of Al Buraimi, with (7mm) in the Wilayat of Mahdha, and (3mm) in the Wilayat of Al Buraimi. Most of the wadis in Dhofar flooded as a continuation of the impact of the tropical situation and the rains that were reported yesterday. In the Governorate of Al Dhahirah, Wadi Maqar in the Wilayat of Ibri flooded, in addition to wadis of Al Arshi and Falaj Al Sideriyeen in the Wilayat of Yanqul. — ONA
