A qualitative leap in Oman-Egypt ties

CAIRO: Egyptian veteran journalist Abdel Mohsen Salama (pictured) described the visit of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to the Sultanate as “historic” and would make a qualitative leap in the close relations between the Sultanate and Egypt in various fields. In statements to Oman News Agency (ONA), the Head of the Egyptian Journalists’ Syndicate, said the bilateral summit between His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt will be one of the most important Arab meetings in view of the various developments in the region, as well as the Arab and the international status enjoyed by the Sultanate under the leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.


Salama stressed the importance of the talks to be dealt with by the bilateral summit between the two brotherly countries, which will serve the interest of the bilateral relations and the Arab and Islamic nations. He said that Egypt, its government, leadership and people bear all the appreciation and affection to the personality of His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people, as well as reviving the memory of His Majesty’s noble stances with Egypt in various circumstances. The Egyptian veteran journalist hailed the positive role played by the Omani media at the level of the Omani-Egyptian relations, its outstanding performance and its contribution in all that contributes to document the relations between the two brotherly countries.


He affirmed that the Egyptian media also bears a special appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people as it always remembers the Sultanate’s permanent support to Egypt, which represented a solid foundation for a long-term joint work between the Sultanate and Egypt in various aspects of development. — ONA
