MUSCAT: Pakistan School Muscat recently hosted a Teacher-Centred Emotional Intelligence session to help its junior school faculty recognise the role and importance of emotional competencies (EO) in the classroom.

The session was moderated by Munazza Ghafoor, Principal, Junior School, while the programme for senior teachers was conducted by Attaullah Niazi, Senior Principal, Pakistan Schools in Oman. Participants included Khalid Jadoon, Principal, Pakistan School Muscat, and all the teachers of the senior school.

“In a profession like teaching which is grounded on the understanding of emotions of students by the teachers, to distinguish and channelize the emotions in the right direction is the key factor for the success of the students and such trainings serve to create a link between the teachers and that required level of understanding,” said Ataullah Niazi, Senior Principal, Pakistan Schools in Oman
