PSM claim Pakistan Independence Cup

MUSCAT: To enliven the patriotic festivity on the 70th Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a friendly cricket match was organised by Pakistan School Muscat. In the 10 overs’ match, Pakistan Embassy XI batted first to put up a total of 108 runs. PSM successfully chased the total to claim the trophy.


The teams of Pakistan Embassy XI under the captaincy of Pakistan Ambassador Ali Javed and Pakistan School Muscat XI with Khalid Jadoon Principal PSM as the captain stepped into the ground for the thrilling match.


The evening exhibited the true colours of Pakistan with the spirit of owning the jubilation by the Pakistani Community.


Muhammad Yasin Bhatti graced the occasion as the chief guest whereas Mian Muhammad Muner, Chairman of Pakistan Social Club, Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah, Chairman of Abu Reem Group and Shahzad Paracha, Country Manager PIA, were the other guest of honours.


Ataullah Niazi, Senior Principal of Pakistan Schools in Oman, PSM Principal Khalid Jadoon, Principal Junior School Munnazza Ghafoor, faculty members and a large number of Pakistan community were the present.


The chief guest gave the medals to the players and the trophy to the captain of PSM. The chief guest was presented with the special souvenirs from Pakistan School Muscat.
