Private sector participation sought for Muscat Festival 2019

Muscat: As part of the efforts to engage the private sector, Muscat Municipality has invited companies and institutions interested in participating in Muscat Festival 2019 to hand in their applications explaining their new ideas or plans to the festival administration at Muscat Municipality building in Ruwi.

The municipality said that the Festival will be held from January 10 to February 9, with events starting daily at 4pm and concluding 11pm at night during week days, and untill 12 pm on weekends.
should determine the area where the event will be implemented, and the financial amount given to the Municipality in return of the site, noting that the returned income of the event goes for the implementing company and 10 per cent of entry ticket fees will be calculated for the municipality.

The municipality will consider the investor`s request to continue the event at the site for more than one session of the festival.
Proposals should be submitted in an integrated manner, including explaining the general idea of the show or event, plus providing CDs, brochures, photographs, and illustrations about it, in addition to a detailed statement of the company`s financial obligations and investment, and willing to give a visual presentation if the Festival responsible committee requested.
Muscat Municipality shall provide logistical support and advertising, as available, during the period of the festival.
All offers are subject to evaluation by the municipality and shall not be considered as an approval, furthermore the committee has also the right to accept or reject any offers without giving reasons.
Offers should not include electrical, electronic, or air games, and not trade or marketing fairs.
Applicant must provide proof of intellectual property rights within the documents if he owns any.
Offer shall be submitted in either Arabic or English at the municipality building in Ruwi before 1pm on October 10.
