MUSCAT: The Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI) adopted its general budget for 2018 at its fourth meeting for this year, chaired by Shaikh Abdullah bin Nasser al Bakri, Minister of Manpower and Chairman of the PASI Board of Directors.
The meeting discussed issues related to the conditions of the insurees, including the treatments proposed by PASI for the previous periods of the insurees who were unable to add them during the last period.
The meeting reviewed the periodic report of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Institution (SFAAI) on the work of PASI for the years 2014 and 2015 and adopted a number of policies governing the work of PASI.
On the investment side, the meeting discussed the proposals of the investment committee on some foreign investments aimed at increasing the return on investment. The meeting also reviewed the executive position of the mixed-use insurance complex project.
The meeting also reviewed a number of memoranda submitted to it concerning the organisation of the disbursements of various financial transactions in PASI at the local and international banks.
