PASI bags 6 awards in Kuala Lumpur

Muscat: The Sultanate, represented by the Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI), was awarded 6 Certificates of Merit at the 2018 ISSA Good Practice Award organized by the International Social Security Association’s (ISSA).


The regional award was handed out as part of a ceremony at the ISSA Regional Social Security Forum for Asia and the Pacific being held during October 2 to 4 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The International Social Security Association (ISSA) organizes this regional competition for its members every three years.


PASI was awarded the certificates of merit and the special commendations in recognition for a number of strategic projects and initiatives that aim to realize certain aspirations and objectives within the framework of PASI’s general strategy which targets to ensure individual and social protection under a social security system based on sustainable and comprehensive principles of fairness and social solidarity.


Three of those projects were awarded certificates of merit and special commendation. The first one is the Social Insurance Scientific Research Award. This is an award presented by PASI biennially in the Sultanate to the best scientific Research conducted by holder of Master’s and Doctoral Degrees as well as the undergraduates in the social insurance field. The second project regards the use of the balanced performance card methodology for the integration of PASI’s strategy and the performance management to create a standardized model that links the strategic planning to the performance management using three different dimensions of the organizational performance namely: the results (financial and customer satisfaction dimensions), internal operations dimension and human and technical capacity development dimension.
