Pakistan’s envoy administers oath to PSC

MUSCAT: In the presence of Sayyid Faris bin Fatik al Said, Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman, Ali Javed, administered oath to the Board of Directors of Pakistan Social Club (PSC), elections for which had been concluded recently.


The ceremony was attended by 200 guests, including those from Al Buraimi, Suhar, Nizwa and Al Suwaiq. Those who garced the occasion include Mariam al Zadjali, Chairperson, Oman Society for Fine Arts, Shaikh Said al Saqlawi, President, Omani Society for Writers and Literati, Prof Muqaddam, Department of History, SQU, and Mahmood al Balushi, CEO, Madina Logistics. Expressing his delight over the successful organisation of the event, Sayyid Faris praised the historical links between both nations and extended his reassurances to furthering them.


The ambassador felicitated the Board of Directors as well as Mian Munir for his third consecutive election as chairman and observed that the social club had a vital responsibility to serving both nations.


The ambassador underlined the embassy’s outreach initiatives including ‘WhatsApp Broadcast’ and e-mail bank amassing 25,000 subscribers sand Youth Empowerment Strategy (YES). He said that WhatsApp for MRP, Labor and Immigration Wings were now being launched to serve the Pakistani community across Oman.


Unveiling ‘Action Plan 2018’ for PSC, the ambassador acknowledged the services and contributions of 272,000 Pakistanis across the Sultanate, praised the visionary leadership of His Majesty and thanked the Omani nation for their hospitality.
