Pakistan national hockey team visits Pakistan School Muscat

Muscat: To enliven the deep-rooted brotherhood between the Sultanate of Oman and Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a hockey match was organised between Oman Hockey Team and Pakistan Hockey-A Team recently visited the Sultanate of Oman. The Chairman Pakistan School Muscat - Zia Ul Haq Siddique, Councillor, Pakistan Embassy Oman - Muhammad Ishaq, Principal, Pakistan School Muscat - Khalid Mehmood Khan Jadoon, Principal, Pakistan School Muscat (Junior School) - Munazza Ghafoor along with the teachers and students warmly received Pakistan Hockey-A Team. The ceremony started with a warm reception and mesmerising performances by young and talented students of Pakistan School Muscat Junior Section. Principal Munazza Ghafoor welcomed and felicitated the guests. She further commended the team for being the inspiration for the generation to come up and making the nation proud on global level. She extended warm wishes for the team’s success in all matches.


The National Hockey Team along with school faculty moved to Abdul Qadeer Hall. The team was once again welcomed by the Principal Khalid Mehmood Khan Jadoon. He also paid homage to the National Hockey Team of Pakistan. He added that this visit will boost up the spirit of the students to play for their country. The Chairman Pakistan School Muscat Zia Ul Haq Siddique extended his gratitude to the team for their visit. Muhammad Usman, Manager of Pakistan Hockey Team, introduced his squad and showed the gratitude towards administration and staff for organising such a stupendous ceremony. The ceremony was concluded with the national anthems of Oman and Pakistan.


Students showed their patriotism and were very excited. They enthusiastically took autographs and selfies with their national heroes. The recreational match aimed to strengthen the ties between Oman and Pakistan ensuring the sports entertainment both for Omanis and the Omani community.
