Pact signed for equipment financing

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Manpower (MoMP) on Thursday signed a joint cooperation agreement worth of RO 85,542 with Development Foundation of Oman LNG Company for the finance of some projects for the Vocational College at the Wilayat of Al Seeb.


The agreement was signed by Dr Muna bint Salim al Jardaniyah, Under secretary of the Ministry of Manpower for Technical Education and Vocational Training, and Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah al Masan, CEO of the Foundation.


‘The agreement comes within the framework of the joint cooperation between the public and private enterprises in a bid to enhance education and vocational training sector’, said Dr Al Jardaniyah.


“As per the agreement, the company will finance the purchase of modern equipment in the field of training and education to equip the mechanical workshop at the Vocational College, she added. Shaikh Al Masan said that these initiatives come within the efforts made by the company in a bid to enhance and develop the corporate social responsibility programs that target the different sectors of our society.


On his part, Hilal bin Ali al Sinani, Deputy CEO of Oman LNG Company Development Foundation, said that the company will purchase a number of equipment for the different chemical and vocational majors and will equip more than 60 training units.
