Muscat: His Excellency Mohammed bin Nasser Al Zaabi, Chief Executive Officer of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, chaired a meeting of the internal committee for the management of exceptional weather conditions. The committee is keeping direct contact with the Dhofar office to discuss the advancement of the tropical situation in the Arabian Sea.
The tropical condition in the Arabia Sea has now become a depression with the wind speed is around 30 to 33 knots. The distance between the tropical system’s centre and Oman’s coasts is 930km, said Oman Meteorology. The nearest convective cloud bands from the coasts is 350km. The tropical condition is taking the NorthWest direction.
