MUSCAT: Oman Tourism College (OTC) will be organizing a tourism career and networking fair on December 13, 14 at the college campus.
The open-to-all career fair will offer latest updates on jobs and internship opportunities available in the tourism and hospitality sector, and will have career guidance workshops by industry captains and former OTC alumni.
The fair will also provide ample networking scope for the students to meet with potential employers and other students.
“The Sultanate’s tourism and hospitality industry is booming like never before. It presents a lot of career opportunities for ambitious youngsters who have the right qualifications and skills. Oman Tourism College wants to provide a professional platform for students to know firsthand about these exciting developments and allow them to meet with the leaders of the industry. This is the primary objective of holding the Tourism Career Fair,” Melanie Hunger, the coordinator of the event, said.
As many as 20 major firms in the tourism and hospitality sector will be participating in the fair, with plenty job offers on offer.
A major highlight of the fair will be a session dedicated to success stories by some of the alumni of Oman Tourism College, who have made a mark in the tourism and hospitality industry either as professionals or as entrepreneurs. “This session will no doubt inspire youngsters to look at the tourism and hospitality industry to meet their career or entrepreneurial goals,” Melanie added.
The fair will be open from 9 am to 3 pm on both days.
