OTA successfully conducts monthly junior tennis tournament

Muscat: The Oman Tennis Association (OTA) successfully organised the OTA 3rd Monthly Junior tennis tournament from 18th-21st of April 2018. This event is a part of OTA Development Programme for juniors and to enhance the growth of tennis game in the Sultanate.


The Oman Tennis Association regularly includes the Star of the Future Tennis Programme in the Competition. More than 85 Junior Players, both boys and girls including Omani and expatriate participated in the said event from 8, 9 Mini Tennis 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 categories boys and girls and awards to the top 2 players for each category the winners yesterday in Sultan Qaboos Sports Center in Bausher.


The Winners and Runner - up of each category is the ff:


Under-8 Girls Mini Tennis — Champion Polina Borwn beat Runner Up Sanabhi Ali, 3rd Place Eman Ehab Ibrahim then 4th Place Talai al Busaidy.


Under-8 Boys Mini Tennis — Champion Ahmed Ehab Ibrahim beat Runner Up Anis Dob, in the 3rd place Vojin Knezevic then 4th Place Michael Daene Robrigado.


Under-9 Girls Star Future Programme — Champion Sama Al Saleh and Runner Up Sulaf al Mahrouqi then 3rd Place Ghaya al Riyami.


Under-10 Girls Star Future Programme Rayyan Al Busaidi beat Fatma al Balushi 10-6 in the 3rd Place Rahma Al Busaidy


Under-9 Unisex — Champion Rita Malakhova beat Ahmed al Hinai, in the 3rd Place Timur Fattahov then 4th Place Nithisai Harinath


Under-10 Boys — Champion Charlie Sennhauser beat Runner Up Ahmed al Hinai 6-0


Under-10 Girls — Champion Aisha al Busaidy beat Runner Up Rita Malakhova 6-3


Under-12 Boys — Champion Isa al Suleimani beat Runner Up Ali al Busaidy 9-7


Under-12 Girls — Champion Kira Malakhova beat Runner Up Ananya Chaudhary 9-3


Under-14 Boys – Champion Vivek Kolluro beat Runner Up Marwan al Khanjari 9-4


Under-14 Girls — Champion Saffanah al Riyami beat Runner Up Kira Malakhova 9-4


Under-16 Boys — Champion Vivek Kolluru beat Runner Up Surya Mariappan 9-5


Under-18 Boys — Champion Muneer al Rawahi beat Runner Up Shlok Ail 9-7


Karim Saadallah ITF Coaching Course Expert are conducting the Olympic Solidarity Coaching Course here in Oman are one of the guest of honour and (OTA) Oman Tennis Association Chairman Khalid al Adi and OTA Executive Manager Salman al Balushi are the guest of honour and distributed the award to all the winners and runner — up of the said event.


Karim Saadallah Congratulate all the winners and Oman Tennis Association for successfully organised the tournament and continuing developed the Tennis in Oman. Saadallah also mentions that his glad to see the venue and facilities are good and Comfortable to play during the tournament.
