Orpic received the Authorised Economic Operator certificate (AEO) from the Directorate General of Customs after demonstrating a strong track record of government compliance, processes and systems; providing it with cutting-edge benefits across its supply chain.
Besides security benefits, Orpic will enjoy other trade facilitation advantages such as: faster cargo clearances at borders, decreased number of Customs inspections, international certification and marketing benefits, priority access to inspections and clearances at border crossing points, In-advance-processing of minor permits in the system (Increased pre-clearance of goods), release the cargo without completing the customs processes, gain a reputation as a safe and low-risk operator locally and internationally, access to use AEO logo in the marketing processes.

The AEO will enable Orpic to elevate its manufacturing prowess, it will also enhance Orpic Polymer Marketing (OPM) import and export portfolio, and increase the strategic value of its trade management operations worldwide especially for its polypropylene and polyethylene product brand “Luban”.
The AEO programme was implemented by Royal Oman Police at the Directorate General of Customs. The globally-recognised certification is in full compliance with the World Custom Organisation’s (WCO) standards and the framework developed by the World Customs Organisation (WCO). It was also supported by the World Trade Organisation’s (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement, in order to create to establish strategic partnerships to ensure security within the business community and facilitate the international supply chain and global trade.
Additionally, the programme contributes to greater cost savings, fewer customs controls, and recognition of recipients as safe and secure business partners globally.
