Dec 19: In line with its commitment to supporting development of Omanis for jobs in the real estate industry, Oman Real Estate Association (ORA) has inked an agreement with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) to train around 300 nationals.

The agreement was signed by Hassan Juma Al Lawati, Vice0Chairman of ORA and Raoul Restucci, Managing Director of PDO, on Sunday.

The initiative will cover Omanis already working in the sector but eager to upgrade their skills, as well as those exploring career opportunities in this promising industry. It is also in in line with efforts by the Ministry of Manpower to regularize professions in the real estate sector in Oman. Under current regulations, brokers must undergo suitable training in brokerage services before they are deemed qualified to serve as authorised brokers.

Under the agreement, ORA will oversee the development of the training curriculum in cooperation with seasoned lecturers. The training programme will consist of six courses, each targeted at around 50 trainees. Successful attendees will receive a certificate from ORA, approved by the Ministry of Manpower.

“We are happy to work with PDO and thank them for their support to ORA, which will positively reflect on the development of the nation’s youth,” Hassan Juma Al Lawati said.
