OMC celebrates graduation of doctors, pharmacists

MUSCAT: Oman Medical College celebrated the graduation of a new cohort of students from Medicine, Pharmacy and Health Sciences programmes under the auspices of Dr Said bin Hamad bin Said al Rubaii, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, in the presence of Shaikh Salem bin Said bin Hamad al Fanah al Araimi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Khulood bint Mohammad bin Rashed al Fannah al Araimi, and Fadwa bint Salem bin Said al Fannah al Araimi, members of the Board of Directors.


Dr Allie Karshenas, Associate Vice President of Clinical Research, Operations and Institutional Advancement at the West Virginia University (WVU), represented WVU with which Oman Medical College has an academic partnership. Dean of Oman Medical College Dr Saleh bin Mohamed al Khusa, the Vice Deans Dr Yaseen M Al Lawatia, Prof Dr Mohammed Ali al Shaffee and members of the academic and administrative bodies were also present. Eighty-four students of the tenth batch of doctors, 83 students of the eleventh batch of pharmacists and five students from health sciences graduated at the ceremony held on January 10.
