MUSCAT: Oman Telecommunications Company has renewed its Oman Cricket partnership for the term 2017-18. Having signed on initially in early 2016 as the major sponsor for the team’s international participation in the ICC T20 World Cup and Asia Cup, the meteoric rise of the team’s popularity and growth of Cricket in Oman since, has resulted in the renewed partnership, which will continue up until mid 2018. Oman Cricket officials said that they were honorued to have Omantel on board again in a landmark year for Oman Cricket, which has already seen the arrival of the first International team to tour Oman and will witness the development of the new Centre of Excellence, due to be completed by the end of 2017.
