Muscat: In line with its commitment to enrich customers’ lifestyles, Omantel, the leading digital services provider in the Sultanate, partners with the Middle East’s leader in retail & hospitality — Landmark Group — to provide Makasib members with the option to convert Makasib points to Shukrans. The initiative allows Omantel customers redemption options across fashion, electronics, home, kids and lifestyle categories in over 90 stores in Oman and over 2,000 stores across 9 countries.

Commenting on this partnership, Haitham al Kharusi, Vice-President of Omantel’s Consumer Business Unit, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Landmark Group to offer our customers an extensive range of benefits and rewards in exchange for the Makasib points they earn using our products and services. This partnership allows Makasib members to redeem their points in exchange for Shukrans, and take advantage of the region’s largest loyalty programme.

Makasib is a loyalty programme that is designed to enhance customer experience by offering an opportunity to benefit from a diverse range of rewards by earning points when using any of Omantel mobile, fixed line, and Internet services. Makasib status points can be redeemed for free minutes and data, bill discounts and cash vouchers. The popular rewards programme is divided into 4 tiers and each has its own benefits. These tiers are Al-Ufuq, Platinum, Gold and Silver. All Omantel subscribers are eligible to join Makasib programme.

Omantel customers can join the Makasib programme by dialling *224# and following simple instructions. After registering for the programme, customers will receive a Makasib point for every 100 Baisas they spend on any of the various Omantel services. These points are valid for 2 years and participants can redeem them with great rewards on offer.

Clive Freeman, Chief Operating Officer of Landmark Group, Oman, comments: “We are proud to partner with Oman’s number one integrated telecommunication services provider, Omantel. This partnership will certainly unleash more redemption options for Omantel’s Makasib members, as Shukrans are accepted across 9 countries in over 2,000 stores”.
