Omantel celebrated the launch of the entire digital core platform for Security and Safety Services LLC (SSS), Oman’s largest privately owned professional security services company.
The achievement comes after a year of strong collaboration between the two companies in the project, which includes ‘Microsoft Dynamics 365 on premise installation’, an intelligent business application for enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management (ERP).
Rashid al Sidari, CEO of SSS, said: “We are in a constant search for business development opportunities, and innovative technologies and smart solutions are truly important elements for an agile and efficient business.”
He also added, “We are glad to cooperate with Omantel as a trusted technology and telecom partner. The launch of the entire digital core platform will transform the back-office applications and IT systems in the firm as well as streamline operations with scalable technology solutions to track packages and secure shipments.” The tracking solutions are powered by Omantel’s subsidiary company mOmkin IoT LLC
Fadi Nasser, General-Manager of Omantel’s ICT Unit, commented “We are committed to build bridges toward a thriving digital society, where businesses and individuals can avail comprehensive technology solutions. Our partnership with SSS will enable the smooth functioning of the firm through a successful digital ecosystem, and it comes in line with our efforts in boosting collaboration with private and public organisations to accelerate the sustainable development in the Sultanate.”
“This project is first-of-its-kind as it includes ‘Microsoft Dynamics 365 on premise installation’, and we will continue our role as a leading national company to bring in latest technologies that enrich people’s lives and push the digital transformation forward, particularly e-government.” He added.
Haitham al Ismaili, Director of Information Technology at SSS, said “We are making great steps ahead in transforming from a paper-based to a digital work environment, where best practices are implemented. Having a paper-less office will not only reduce costs, but also increase efficiency and productivity. We are urged to combine our efforts to facilitate the digital transformation projects.”
Shaikh Saif bin Hilal al Hosni, Country Manager for Microsoft Oman and Bahrain, said: “There is a growing demand for hi-tech and cutting edge solutions by companies to fulfil their customer’s needs more effectively. As a technology giant, we would be glad to provide Omantel with the most advanced innovations in a way that will help the company to offer its customers the best experience and exceed their expectations.”
