SALALAH – A new chapter of aviation started in Oman with the departure of the inaugural flight of SalamAir OV-002 from Salalah to Muscat at 10.05am. The first low cost national carrier of the Sultanate will fly to and from Salalah and Muscat with plans to extend its operations in this year to upcoming destinations such as Dubai, Jeddah, Medina, Karachi, Sialkot and Multan.

A round trip Salalah-Muscat-Salalah fare of RO 30 announced by SalamAir has excited every air traveller in Salalah.

A game changer in the Sultanate’s aviation sector, the airline is offering reasonable and efficient means of transport to people in and outside Oman. “SalamAir is anticipated to boost the tourism industry in the country contributing to the realisation of the nation’s aspirations to diversify its economy through the development of certain sectors including tourism,” said an official of SalamAir.
