MOSCOW: The Omani Students Association, in association with the Embassy of the Sultanate, participated in the Arab Expatriate Day celebrations organised by the mission of the Arab League in Moscow.

The participation of Omani students in the exhibition included a collection of traditional silver objects, photographs and booklets about Oman’s cultural, historical and cultural diversity, Omani customs and traditions, and a collection of ancient manuscripts reflecting the depth of Omani-Russian relations.

“The participation of the Omani Students Association came in response to the invitation of the Arab League Mission to the Arab embassies to organise the Arab Expatriate Day,” said Mazin bin Said al Maqbali, Head of the Omani Students Association in Moscow.

He said that the day was organised in celebration of the Arab expatriate who represents the Arab culture and identity in the country of his residence, in addition to being a bridge of communication with the Russian society during the stay abroad.

The Omani exhibition attracted many Arab and foreign visitors who expressed their admiration for the exhibits and appreciation for the Sultanate which maintains balanced relations with all peoples and countries of the world. — ONA
