Oman’s historical approach of openness to varied civilisations and cultures is its key distinctive feature. Omanis have since historical times endeavoured to cross-seas to reach far lands and have traversed the world. Its distinctive seafaring geographical location has enabled connections. Its geographical openness has facilitated openness to the surrounding civilisations, communication with civilisations far away, favoured human interaction and migration as well as scientific trips and business.

The legacy of this remarkable heritage lies in civilised communication with the world and has enabled Oman to build unique, strong and long lasting international relations.”

During the meeting, the discussions focused on the Omani-Belgian relations and ways to develop them, especially in the parliamentary fields.
