Oman, Yemen review good relations

MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, received on Monday Abdulmalik Abduljalil al Mekhlafi, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Yemen, currently visiting the Sultanate. During the meeting, the Yemeni official conveyed greetings of President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi of Yemen to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, along with his best wishes of permanent success to His Majesty and the government.

HH Sayyid Fahd reviewed the existing good bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and means of enhancing them, and expressed the Sultanate’s wishes of security and stability for the Yemen and its people. On his turn, the Yemeni guest reviewed the conditions in his country, expressing thanks for the Sultanate’s cooperation with the issues of Yemen and the efforts the Sultanate exerts in this regard. They also hailed the wisdom of His Majesty the Sultan in dealing with all issues of concern to the region. The meeting touched on a number of issues and the latest regional and international developments.

Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, also received Al Mekhlafi. The meeting discussed aspects of the bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries and means of enhancing them in various areas. The two sides exchanged viewpoints on the regional and international issues of common concern, particularly the political developments in respect to the Yemeni crises. — ONA
