Oman withdraws M95 from some fuel stations

Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has withdrawn M95 fuel from filling stations in North Batinah and Buraimi.

The ministry, in a statement, said this is a precautionary measure, as marketing companies have been cooperating with Orpic for the fresh supply of M96 fuel.

The ministry said that the process may take some time and it could affect the availability of M95 temporarily in those stations. It urged consumers to go to alternative stations during this period.

The Ministry said that other petroleum products such as diesel and M91 will be available at these stations.

A team of specialists from the ministry, fuel marketing companies and Orpic are following the procedures to make sure that M95 are available these stations as soon as possible.

On September 3, MOCI issued a statement on the quality of the fuel supplied at some fuel filling stations in North Batinah and Buriami,
