DOHA: The national swimming team for general category won two gold and one sliver medals at the four-day short 14th Gulf Short Swimming Competition held at the Hamad Sports City in Doha. Nedhal bin Sulaiman al Harrasi won the 800-metre free competition and the gold medal after finishing the race at 8.42.84. Ayman bin Talib al Qasmi won the silver medal in the 800-metre competition after finishing the race at 8.43.35. In the 200-metre event, Abdul Rahman bin Yahya al Kulaibi won the gold medal after finishing the race at 2.9.19, breaking the previous Omani record. — ONA
