MUSCAT: The Sultanate won second place at the 24th Holy Quran International Contest for the Holy Quran organised by the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf held in Cairo. Around 60 competitors from 43 countries took part in the event. Fayez bin Marhoon al Hadi, Assistant Director of the Holy Quran Schools Department at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, said Laith al Kindi represented the Sultanate.
