Oman, Saudi review defence cooperation

MUSCAT: Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, received in his office at Mu’askar Bait Al Falaj yesterday Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Sultan al Sultan, Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, who is currently visiting the Sultanate.


The two sides reviewed fields of the military cooperation between the two brotherly countries, within the framework of the GCC, as well as means of promoting them.


Separately, Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raisi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), also received in his office Commander of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, and his delegation.


The meeting exchanged cordial conversations and viewpoints on several matters of common concern between the navy forces of the two brotherly countries.


The meeting was attended by a number of officers of the RNO and Royal Saudi Naval Forces, as well as the military attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Muscat.


Later, the Saudi guests visited the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) Museum in the Bait Al Falaj Castle. — ONA
