MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represented by the Information Technology Authority, participates in the fourth edition of Qatar ICT Exhibition and Conference (QITCOM 2017) during the period from March 6 to 8 in the Qatar Convention Centre, under the theme ‘Qatar Towards a Smart Future’. The Sas Centres at ITA are participating in the exhibition with a number of companies incubated in Sas Centre for Entrepreneurship and some technologies in Sas Centre for Mobile Apps Development and Sas Centre for Virtual Reality.
Through the participation in QITCOM 2017, the ITA aims to promote the Omani companies specialised in the IT sector and showcase some successful experiences of the Sultanate in promoting entrepreneurship and business incubators in the information technology. In addition, it aims to connect and engage with industry professionals and specialists, and gain access to new markets in Qatar, the GCC and beyond. The Omani companies participating in the exhibition are: Global Computers (specialised in digital solutions), Framezen (specialised in games development and animation), North Systems (specialised in geographic systems) and Digital Leadership company. QITCOM 2017 activities include a conference featuring nearly 40 international speakers and more than 100 participants.
