Oman, Poland councils sign MoU

MUSCAT: The Omani side of the Oman-Polish Parliamentary Friendship Committee held its first meeting at the State Council on Monday, headed by Salem bin Ismail al Suaid, in the presence of members of the committee. The discussions focused on the proposed visit of the Polish side of the Omani-Polish Parliamentary Friendship Committee to the Sultanate at the invitation of the Council from February 7 to 9. The meeting authorised the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two Councils during the forthcoming visit of the delegation to the Sultanate.
It also discussed the outcome of the meetings of the members of the committee with stakeholders from the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Public Authority for Investment Promotion & Export Development (PAIPED) in order to enhance cooperation in the economic, commercial and industrial relations with the Republic of Poland. The talks also touched on the agreement between the Sultanate and Poland for the air services. Following the approval of the minutes of the previous meeting, the committee noted the update on the work completed and action taken.
