Oman national football team concluded Jordan camp with a goalless draw against hosts Jordan. The Sultanate team played two friendly matches ahead of their participation in the AFC Asian Cup to be held in the UAE next January.

At the King Abdullah Stadium in Amman city, the Red Warriors failed to find a goal in a second match in a row. Oman had the same result against Lebanon in the first friendly.

The match on Tuesday did not impress as none of the teams attacked with real intention and failed to break past the defences. Oman’s head coach Pim Verbeek brought in Mohsin al Ghassani and Said al Ruzaiqi in place of Mohsin Jawher and Abdulaziz al Muqbali respectively. Fayez al Rushaidi was the goalkeeper in the second match as Ali al Habsi featured in the first match.

Oman clearly lacked incentives to score in both friendly matches and will give plenty of thought for Verbeek ahead of Asian Cup.
