Oman Drydock names new CEO

Oman Drydock Company (ODC) has announced the appointment of Said bin Hamoud al Mawali (pictured) as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to his role at ODC, Said was providing leadership and governance for the Executive Management of OTTCO since February 2014. With 21 years of extensive experience in construction, asset management, plant operations, supply chain, cost control, business development, mergers and acquisition, Said is leading the corporate strategies and overall policies and procedures to ensure that all key people play a constructive role in ODC’s development.


Previously, Said occupied significant positions at Petroleum Development Oman, Occidental Oman, Sohar Aluminium and Oman Oil Company.


He held board and sub-committee roles in Oman Rail, Majan Ferrochrome, Oman Gas Company, Vale Oman, Oman India Fertilizer Company and Oman Shipping. Said holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Imperial College London.


Said commented, “I am excited to take on the role of CEO at Oman Drydock Company and work with the new management team that will lead the ship repair services in Oman into the future. The prospects for ODC are bright and I look forward to use the collective experience of the ODC team to deliver excellence in marketing, projects execution, financial sustainability and in general any focus area that make our customers more satisfied.”
