Oman delegation takes part in Vibrant Gujarat 2019 Expo

Ahmedabad, jan 19 - A high-level Omani delegation headed by Yahya bin Saeed al Jabri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ithraa, as well as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm (SEZAD), is taking part in the Vibrant Gujarat 2019 Expo, which began in Ahmedabad (India) yesterday.
The delegation includes a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Stage General Reserve Fund (SGRF), Oman Oil Company, and Port of Duqm, among other public and private sector companies.
In his speech at the opening of the conference, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed India’s growth over the past four years, citing economic measures taken by his country to accelerate economic growth, stimulate investment, reduce inflation and reduce inflation.
The Cost of Doing Business Index now shows that India is more willing to do economic business than ever before, he noted.
“In the past four years, we have jumped 65 places in the World Bank’s World Bank Doing Business report, but we remain unsatisfied. We hope India will be on the list of top 50 countries next year.”
During the last two days, the Sultanate’s pavilion at the expo attracted a large number of businesspersons and executives interested in investing in Oman. Ithraa representatives outlined investment opportunities in the Sultanate. SEZAD representatives gave details about Duqm’s strategic location and investment appeal.
