Oman, Cyprus sign visa exemption pact

MUSCAT: Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, received on Sunday with Ioannis Kasoulides, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, and his accompanying delegation, within the framework of his official three-day visit to the Sultanate. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral cooperation relations between the two friendly countries and means of promoting and enhancing them in various areas. The two sides also reviewed the developments in a number of regional and international issues of common concern. At the end of the meeting, the two sides signed an agreement on mutual exemption of visas for diplomatic, special and service passports between the two countries. The meeting was attended from the Omani side by Mohammed bin Yousef al Zarafi, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and officials at the ministry, while it was attended from the Cypriot side by Andreas Panayiotou, Ambassador of Cyprus to the Sultanate and the official delegation accompanying the guest. — ONA
