Oman, China seek to enhance cooperation in journalism

MUSCAT: Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour al Hasani, Minister of Information, received in his office on Sunday Zhang P, Head of the Chinese Journalists Association, and his delegation. Dr al Hasani reviewed the ministry’s role in supporting journalism and media march in the Sultanate in various vital and developmental sectors, as well as the importance of developing institutions and personnel concerned with the journalistic media sector. The two sides touched on means of enhancing cooperation between the Ministry of Information and Chinese Journalists Association, besides discussing topics related to promoting cooperation between the two sides on various journalistic work fields to serve media march between the two friendly countries.


Chinese delegation due


A Chinese delegation will visit the Sultanate on Monday. The delegation will be headed by the Deputy Inspector in the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality. The visit aims at enhancing economic, trade and cultural relations between the two countries. During the visit, the delegation will meet with several officials in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), and the Vice-Chancellor of Al Sharqiyah University, besides visiting the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) and some tourist attractions in the Sultanate. — ONA
