Oman Air has said it is closely following the situation of guests in Bangkok following the cancellation of its flight  WY812, scheduled between Bangkok and Muscat on August 25. It may be noted that passengers had to wait for nearly two days at the airport as per the latest update.

In a statement, the airline said it was working to take appropriate action in addition to providing alternate solutions to transport guests through other airlines to specific points within the Oman Air network to provide connecting flights between the airline and Muscat.

The airline thanked all the guests for their understanding and the cooperation they showed towards the problem beyond the company's will.

A passenger who was supposed to take the same flight said many senior citizens, including children, had to wait at Bangkok airport for long hours.

In a statement, the airline said that it has 92 passengers for Muscat in Thai Airways (TG319), 12 passengers on EY403 (Etihad Airways), 12 passengers on JetAirways ((9W69), 74 passengers through TG315 to Delhi and from there 9W598 to Muscat. Also four passengers will be accommodated in Air India and two in Qatar Airways.
