Oman Air appoints new Executive VP for HR

MUSCAT: Oman Air is delighted to announce the appointment of Asma Humaid al Ghabshi (pictured) as Executive Vice President for Human Resources.
Asma brings with her wide international experience also an energetic spirit and determination to inspire the younger generation of men and women at Oman Air to work hard on their personal development as well as the success of the airline, to become the best.
Commenting on this landmark appointment, Oman Air CEO Paul Gregorowitsch said, “We are very proud to welcome Asma as our new Executive Vice President for HR. Her vast international experience and desire to introduce new staff-friendly HR initiatives is certain to not only yield great results, but inspire all our employees to achieve their full potential.”
Having graduated with a degree in English Language and Literature from the Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat, Asma worked for Shell for 14 years in Oman, Qatar, Egypt and the Netherlands.
During her time there, she had an incredibly positive impact on the company by undertaking a number of different roles within HR.
She focused on learning and development, talent management, recruitment and led on a number of projects in the field of change management.
Delighted to be undertaking her new role, Asma said, “I hope to inspire especially the younger generation of talent at Oman Air. My advice to them is to work hard and make it their mission to do their best so they can be proud of what they achieve and deliver.”
