Tallinn: The Sultanate ranked third at the Arab Level in the National Cyber Security Index NCSI, which was prepared by the e-Government Academy in Estonia. The Sultanate ranked 61st in the world, with 32.47 points. It ranked third at the Arab level after Qatar and Egypt. France topped the index, followed by Germany, Estonia, Slovakia, Finland and Lithuania. This index measures the readiness of countries to prevent cyber crime threats and their willingness to manage cyber crime and cyber offenses on a large scale.

The e-Government Academy in Estonia stressed that these cyber threats directly affect the normal performance of national information and communication systems, including important electronic services. The NCSI focuses on measurable aspects of cyber security implemented by the government, including legislation in force, established units, cooperation formats, and outcomes or products, policies and exercises. — ONA
