OJFA announces Japanese language course

MUSCAT: Under the aegis of the Oman Japan Friendship Association (OJFA), a three-month Japanese language course is due to commence shortly.


Renowned language expert Yuka Kawai from the ECC Kokusai College of Foreign Languages, Japan will be personally instructing Japanese language enthusiasts in Oman.


According to the OJFA spokesperson, “Throughout her inspiring career spanning several years, Kawai has remained consistent at making an impressive mark on her students, passionately motivating every student to accomplish their goal. Born in Japan, Yuka Kawai graduated as an expert in teaching Japanese as a second language, from the Aicoh School of Liberal Arts, Japan. It is well-known that her immense experience in the field of teaching Japanese has encouraged her to implement interesting teaching techniques that have easily transformed students from being novices to masters in basic conversation skills.”


The course is supported by the Embassy of Japan and will commence on Sunday, January 15, 2017. Registration for the course will begin on Wednesday January 11, 2017 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the OJFA Room, Parking Building, Al Assalah Towers, Ghubrah South. This will be on a ‘First Come First Serve’ basis since seats are limited. Except for L1 level, candidates may be required to undergo a language competency test at the time of Registration. Applicants must be aged 13 years, or above.


The course will follow a weekly schedule: Level 5 – Sundays/Tuesdays from 5 pm - 6.30 pm and Level 3 – Mondays/Wednesdays from 5 pm – 6.30 pm; Level 2 – Sundays/Tuesdays from 7 pm - 8.30 pm; Level 1 – Mondays/Wednesdays from 7 pm - 8.30 pm.
