MUSCAT: The Omani Journalists Association marked its annual day and launched its electronic database during a special event that was held at Intercontinental Hotel under the auspices of Shaikh al Fadhl bin Mohammed al Harthy, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, in the presence of dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak al Araimi, Chairman of the Omani Journalists Association, commended the continuous support extended by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to the association. He noted that this support enables the association to play its media role and to serve mediapersons and journalists in the Sultanate.
Adnan al Rashid, Deputy Chairman of the Arab Journalists Union, praised the activities carried out by the association.
The chief guest and the chairman of the association honoured the organisations that support the activities of the association and the members of the association’s committees. — ONA
