MUSCAT: A delegation from the Oman Football Association (OFA) led by Salim bin Said al Wahaibi, Chairman of OFA, took part in the 27th General Assembly Meeting of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held in Manama, Bahrain. The meeting was chaired by Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim al Khalifa, Chairman of AFC in the presence of Gianni Infantino, Fifa President who gave a speech underscoring the role Asia plays in world football particularly as the continent is gearing up to host three international soccer events this year. The meeting approved Indonesia voting, electronic voting. It also elected three names as members of Fifa executive bureau for 2017-2019 period.
