OFA announces Verbeek’s support staff

MUSCAT: Oman Football Association’s (OFA) on Thursday announced the support staff that will be working with coach Peter Tim Veerbek from the beginning of his tenure.


Waleed al Sa’adi and Muhanna Said will be the assistants to Verbeek, Ahmed Hadid the Director of Players Affairs, Maqbol al Balushi as Managing Director and Chadli al Mambruki will be the goalkeepers coach.


This was announced by Dr Jassim bin Mohammed al Shukaili, OFA second vice-chairman and national teams in-charge during a press conference at the OFA headquarters in Seeb Sports Stadium.


“We chose them because we feel they are best qualified on the technical and management side. We considered everyone at a similar level and finalised these names on the basis of qualification, experience, added value and willingness to put in the work required towards making our National Team as successful as we want to be,” Jassim al Shukaili said about the selection process as he announced the names.
