Moscow: A delegation of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) continued visiting several tourism related institutions in Russia.
The delegation visited Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry during which it met Alexander Pavlovich, Member of Commercial Activity Authority in Tourism Field.
The OCCI delegation to Russia is led by Ali bin Salim al Hajri, Head of OCCI Tourism Committee.
The two sides explored means of developing trade and economic relations in tourism between the two countries. They also reviewed tourism potentials enjoyed by both countries and how to utilise them to serve the tourism sector, in addition to discussing the potential of benefiting from the Russian expertise in relation to improving the tourism sector in the Sultanate. Ali bin Salim al Hajri, Head of the delegation said that the visit aims to deepen the benefit from Russian expertise in the tourism field.
He also added that the visit aims to familiarise with major tourism potentials in Russia.
The visit also seeks to facilitate opening tourism outlets for Russian tourists in the Sultanate.
Russian officials pointed out that the tourism cooperation between the Sultanate and Russia would yield major economic impacts for both sides as marketing and promotion considered the most important elements for tourism and increasing the number of tourists.
