SUR: The Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (SEZAD) organised at the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah on Monday its first introductory seminar for 2018 under the title ‘Investment Opportunities in Duqm Special Economic Zone.’ The introductory seminar comes within the series of seminars conducted by the SEZAD and Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in various governorates of the Sultanate in a bid to encourage the private sector to invest in Duqm. The seminar was held at the OCCI’s branch in the Wilayat of Sur under the patronage of Nasser bin Mohammed al Mamari, Deputy Head of the OCCI, branch of the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah.
The 2018 seminars will highlight the investment procedures, incentives, facilities and the advantages that SEZAD provides for the investors, besides reviewing the projects being implemented, the investments that SEZAD has attracted over the past years, the government’s efforts in establishing the infrastructure in the special economic zone and preparing it to achieve its objectives in the economic development. — ONA
