OCCI delegation visits India

NEW DELHI: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), represented by the Business Council, recently organised a visit to India. The delegation was led by Qais bin Mohammed al Yusuf, Chairman of OCCI. The delegation held meetings with Indian officials and businessmen and visited a number of private and public establishments. They also met with the officials in-charge of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) and studied the activities and programmes presented by the institute.
In Delhi, they held meetings with businessmen, young entrepreneurs and the minister for textiles who spoke about the importance of innovation and partnership in the business sector. The delegation also had a meeting with the minister of commerce and industry who pointed to the strong economic relations between the Sultanate and India and the importance of boosting investment opportunities. At the end of their visit, the delegation met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They underscored the need for boosting bilateral relations and fostering economic cooperation between the two countries.
