Muscat, APRIL 5 -

The Oman American Business Center (OABC) and the Australian Business Group Oman (ABGO) have announced that they will host a seminar on Public Private Partnerships (PPP) with Talal al Rahbi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Planning, as guest of honour.

The lead speaker Al Rahbi will be joined in discussions on Oman’s Public Private Partnership (PPP) goals and the relevance of global examples to the sultanate by Kalat al Bulooshi, CEO of Oman Investment Corporation, and Abdulaziz al Raisi, Studies Expert at the Diwan of the Royal Court.

Speaking ahead of the seminar, OABC President Ali Daud (pictured) said: “The OABC looks forward to hearing Al Rahbi’s insights on this important topic. Indeed, the event will provide valuable information for the private sector as the government seeks to engage them more broadly in the implementation and management of projects and facilities.

Organizing this session and others is a key part of the OABC’s mission as we raise awareness about business possibilities in Oman.”

Noting the growing importance of the private sector in driving growth in the sultanate, Susan Rae, Chair of the ABGO added: “With the PPP Law expected to be released soon, this timely event provides an excellent chance for our members and others to learn about how the private sector can benefit from PPP opportunities while contributing to Oman’s economic development.”

The PPP seminar will be held at the Grand Hormuz Hotel on Monday, April 10 from 10am to 12 noon. Discussions will be followed by lunch.
