New Zealand non-resident envoy bids farewell

Muscat: Mohammed bin Yousef al Zarafi, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs on Wednesday received Hamish Macmaster, non-resident Ambassador of New Zealand to the Sultanate at the end of his tour of duty.


The two sides exchanged viewpoints and discussed matters that would enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries.


The meeting was attended by Mohammed bin Ahmed al Balushi, Head of East Asia Department and Dr Hamad bin Abdullah al Riyami, Honorary General Consul of New Zealand in the Sultanate.


Muscat Deputy Governor receives Indian naval official


Sayyid Said bin Ibrahim al Busaidy, Deputy Governor of Muscat, received in his office on Tuesday Commanding Officer of the Indian Coast Guard’s Ship Samarth.


The meeting exchanged cordial conversations and discussed matters of common concern between the two friendly countries.


The Deputy Governor of Muscat gave a briefing to the guest on the Governorate of Muscat and its role in serving the community, as well as the historic, tourist and civilised landmarks renowned in wilayats of the Governorate.


The guest expressed his admiration over the unique civilisational landmarks in the Governorate of Muscat.


He valued the pioneering role pursued by the Sultanate under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said in cementing relations with other countries.


The meeting was attended by Defence Adviser at the Indian Embassy. — ONA
