SALALAH: Activities of New Media and Digital Era Forum were concluded at Rotana Salalah hotel on Thursday under the title “Our Media, Our Identity.”
The closing day of the two-day forum was held under the auspices of Mohammed bin Ahmed al Rowas, Member of the State Council.
The forum’s programme included a number of working papers that touched on the traditional and new media, and approaches to integration and difference, the new media reality in the Sultanate and the future vision, training and qualification for competitiveness and sustainability of media projects.
The working papers also touched on the digital media and the performance control authority, the effects of the new media on the societal reality, and the role of digital public relations in the mental image industry of institutions and countries. The seminar also included two panel discussion on new media and digital era, in addition to specialized workshops that were presented by experts from Jordan in the field of digital media. — ONA
