NBC event highlights adventure tourism

Muscat: The National Business Centre (NBC), which is under the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), organised on Wednesday Reyooq event, which highlighted adventure tourism in the Sultanate.


The event was held in line with the ongoing Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) events organised by NBC. Reyooq featured Hassan al Lawati, CEO of Rove Adventures LLC, and Adil Al Abri, CEO of UniBoats, who shared their experiences and the challenges faced by adventure tourism.


Al Lawati pointed out that Rove Adventures aims at playing a role in promoting Oman as a tourist destination for adventure seekers. “The company organises adventure trips in Oman filled with activities that include camping, hiking and trekking trips in the mountains; canoeing and abseiling trips in the wadis; climbing and caving trips; snorkelling; scuba diving; free diving and fishing trips; and dhow cruise and dolphin watching trips,” Al Lawati noted.


He said that Rove is an adventure tourism company that aims at providing unique, authentic and entertaining experience to the residents and visitors to Oman. On his part, Al Abri explained that Uniboats Company, which is located at Al Mouj Marina, is specialised in water sports and its various activities that attract water sports’ enthusiasts throughout the year. The company also manages specialised events for the companies.
