Mwasalat opens up job chances for 200 Omanis

Muscat, Dec 16 - The opening of Mwasalat’s new bus service station in Athaiba is expected to open up career opportunities for 200 Omani automotive engineers in the next two to three years.
The station is expected to provide both direct and indirect jobs in management, MEP, IT, control systems and bus traffic.
“We already have 70 engineers who have graduated from the National Automotive Higher Institute in Al Khoudh,” said Ahmed bin Ali al Balushi, CEO of Mwasalat.
Mwasalat opened the workshop in Athaiba on Sunday in the presence of Salem bin Mohammed al Nuaimi, Under-Secretary, Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The station will cater to the needs of Mwasalat’s buses, which number more than 400. It consists of a workshop with latest equipment for maintenance, repair and inspection of buses of all types and sizes.
The station is equipped with specially designed bus washing facility, including a water recycling system and special fuel filling station, user identification system, rapid fuel pumping system, bus paint areas and a high capacity storage warehouse for storing spare parts and tools.
