MUSCAT ,Feb 2 - A total of 704,142 citizens and residents have visited the venues of Muscat Festival 2019 in three weeks.
Statistics show the turnout has doubled over the past few days specially on the weekend, with festivalgoers flocking to the venues to experience varied activities ranging from entertainment to cultural activities, sports to artistic shows and heritage shows to family events.
Statistics released by the Muscat Festival administration show that Al Amerat Park received 310,417 visitors, Al Naseem Park 360,882, while 32,842 visitors flocked to the festival’s other venues.
The Wilayat of Wadi Al Maawil made its presence felt at the Al Amerat Park by presenting varied heritage, traditional and cultural shows at the heritage village.
The participants showcased exciting activities which included craft industries, traditional dance shows, singing and traditional day-to-day activities reflecting various environments and occupations.
Meanwhile, the shooting competition, held as part of the festival, came to a close at the shooting range in the Wilayat of Al Amerat under the auspices of Yahya bin Sulaiman al Nadabi, Wali of Al Amerat.
